The Church’s Ministry Directions and Future Plans
Looking ahead, the church needs to reaffirm its direction and thinking, as well as lay down the foundations for the emphases for our work in the next 10 years. After several meetings between the Pastoral staff and the Session Court, examining our environment and global trends as well as their impact on us, the church’s position of faith and its role was reaffirmed. These were based on the greater direction of the Great Commission that the Lord has entrusted to us, and built upon the foundation of our pastoral principles, laying down the directions and work emphases for the next 10 years. May we be encouraged by each other through these directions, marching forward together, that this church may be used mightily by God in Missions, Social Concern, Education as well as our other ministries.
The ministry’s development will be built up around the gifts that God has given to our church and the environment in which we are called. This is built in partnership together with a powerful, strong and dedicated pastoral staff and lay leadership as well as an efficient administrative organization. Including the above mentioned 3 ministry emphases, we hope that the church will be able to focus on and push for the below mentioned 10 major plans and ministries:

The church hopes that we can reach our target of 2000 regular people worshipping in our services by the year 2012. This is a growth rate of more than 180% from today. From now until 2010, the Fellowship Cell-Group system needs to grow gradually but steadily. The church also hopes that more than half of its members will be participating in this plan to shepherd others. By then, the church should also have started preparing for rebuilding our current church compounds. At the same time, the Tertiary Students’ Ministry will become the main training ground for the church’s future leaders. We pray that God would give our Pastoral Team and Session Court insight and understanding into the purposes of His heart, pioneering and investing into the 2nd line ministry, to be the salt and light of this world, and a blessing to many.
